Cast-on-site Hempcrete (Floor)

Our hemp building shiv and hempcrete binder can be purchased separately to be mixed and cast on site, which is the most cost-effective way of buying the materials, but involves more labour, and more specialist contractor skills on site compared to our precast hempcrete blocks. To cast hempcrete in a floor, a denser, lime-heavy mix is required.

Hempcrete is a non-load bearing material but, when cast in place against temporary or permanent form work, moulds itself into the forms and sets to very hard material, surrounding any structural frame element in the floor.
