Insulating lime basecoats

There are now several lime plaster products on the market which contain low-density aggregates to produce a vapour-permeable insulating coat which is perfect for adding insulation to existing masonry walls.

Most insulating lime plasters are designed to be used as a base coat, either internally, or externally and are finished with a top coat lime plaster or render of your choice. However, some products can be sponged up to a nice finish.
